People quit things they cannot see the end of. Gym programs, courses, coaching. It is not a willpower problem. It is a map problem.
This is the session roadmap page from a career coaching action plan I designed for a local coach, and it exists to solve exactly that.

The situation
The coach was losing clients around session three or four. Not because it was not working, but because that is the stretch where the initial excitement has worn off and the results have not shown up yet. Clients could not tell whether they were halfway or barely started.
What I built
A single page that lays out the entire program as a journey:
- Each session gets a name and a one line purpose, so "session four" becomes "session four: testing the direction"
- Milestones sit between sessions, the moments a client can point to and say "that happened"
- A "you are here" marker the coach updates before each call
- The finish line is described in the client's own words from the intake, so it stays personal
Visually it reads left to right like a trail map. Deliberately simple. The moment a journey map needs a legend, it has stopped being a map and started being a chart.
Why it works
Drop-off around the middle sessions fell noticeably once the roadmap was introduced. When a client hits the dip and can see they are two sessions from a milestone they chose, they show up. The coach also uses the page in sales conversations, because "here is exactly what the twelve weeks look like" beats "trust me" every time.
The takeaway for your business
Any service that takes more than one meeting to deliver needs a map. Show the whole arc up front, mark where the customer is, and name the milestones. People finish journeys they can see.

If your clients drift in the middle of your program, the fix is usually a page, not a pep talk. Let me design the map they need.
